Save the Date for Vancouver 2012

Dear Colleague,

We are delighted to be hosting the 10th Congress of the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids & Lipids
May 26-30, 2012

This is the first Congress on the west coast of North America. Equidistant from Europe and Asia, Vancouver is a destination that will truly bring a complete international feeling to our Congress. The site for the Congress is the Westin Bayshore Hotel located right on the water overlooking Stanley Park, the world's largest urban park, the North Shore Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The Hotel and its adjoining Convention Centre are within walking distance of the city centre, a vibrant modern city complete with restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Vancouver is a stunning multi-cultural city that is consistently voted one of the world's most livable cities. The city has a spectacular setting bounded by the Pacific Ocean and coastal mountains. Vancouver boasts a major international airport with direct flights from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and most North American cities. Rapid transit brings visitors directly to the city centre.

The Committee will ensure the scientific sessions take full advantage of the full spectrum of advances in lipid and fatty acid research internationally. The Congress will focus on highlighting the work of trainees and new faculty as well as strengthening international links. We will strive to provide a strong networking environment for the scientific and industry communities to enable everyone to renew acquaintances and establish new ones that will extend beyond our time together in Vancouver.
